There's no doubt that you have to have motivation to lose weight. To be motivated in anything is to accomplish it. I went cross-country by bicycle, twice. The first time I took ten months and went 5000 miles. When you're doing what you love to do, it's not work. I used to joke that it was, "The hardest job I ever did"; but I loved bicycling. Since then, the theory was debunked, and it turned out that vegetarians were getting plenty of protein just from the diet they were having.
